Aaron Demosthenes began coaching youth
baseball in 1992. Over the course of his career he has
coached three Babe Ruth Nevada State Championship Teams
1996, 1997, 1998, one Babe Ruth Pacific Southwest
Regional Runner-up 1998, one Northern Nevada AAAA High
School Zone Champion (Galena High School, 2001), one
Northern Nevada AAAA High School State Runner-up (Galena
High School, 2001) and most recently, in 2002 helped
coach the Sierra Sundevils to a Joe DiMaggio 18 and
under World Series Championship. Aaron has also been
scouting for the Colorado Rockies since 1999.
As a
player he was part of the 1990 Northern Nevada High
School AAA Zone Champion Wooster Colts team. His
baseball playing days were cut short due to arm injury
and a scholarship offer to play football at
UNR.
Born
and raised in Reno, Aaron has a wife Gaelen
and two sons Cole and Ty, and daughter named
Ali. He graduated from Wooster High School here
in Reno then went on to attend UNR on a football
scholarship. While at UNR he studied Speech
Communications and Economics, and earned a B.A.
in Speech Communications.
