Jody
Schwartz began her
softball/baseball coaching career in 1990. She has
coached several local ASA Traveling Teams for the last
ten years. She spent her collegiate coaching career at
Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.
Internationally, Jody coached an amateur USA team. She
took the team to Australia to compete internationally
and brought home the gold. Now, Jody spends her time
giving private softball/baseball lessons.
Jody
began playing little league baseball as a child. From
there she began to play softball. She played for the
Southern Calif. Shilos and then played for the Southern
Calif. Raiders. She was a five time National Champion
with the California Raiders. In 1984, Schwartz
participated in the Olympics and won a bronze medal.
Schwartz played four years at Creighton University and
was a two time NCAA "All American". After graduating
from college, Schwartz moved to Reno, Nevada. Now,
Schwartz has her own business providing private
baseball/softball to the community. While, living in
Reno, Schwartz started playing semi-pro baseball for the
local Reno Diamonds. From there, Schwartz was the first
woman to participate in the Mens Adult Baseball World
Series in Phoenix, Arizona. |
